Summer Camp at Ruby Ranch
The Ruby Ranch is gearing up to offer their camp schedule for 2025.
Open to ages 6-16, Summer Break Pottery Camp at Ruby Ranch in collaboration with Firefly Valley Pottery is perfect for kiddos who are always creating and love farm life! Make a hand built sculpture each morning and explore the stream and farm in the afternoon with caring, safety conscious adults. This camp will be held on a working ranch where artists can interact with horses under adult supervision, play in the stream, design clay sculptures, cook, craft and more!
This camp will be almost entirely outdoors, with an indoor barn space available in colder/wet weather or lightening/high winds.
Each day will include a craft, an optional garden activity, optional horse time, lunch as a group and then a walk down to the creek for some water play.
Camp runs from 10am-4pm.
Check payments preferred to avoid processing fees. Zelle and Venmo are also accepted.
(note: this is not a horse riding camp, but students have the option of spending time with horses on the ground, with adult supervision)
Camp dates:
July 14-18
July 21-25
July 28-August 1
August 11—15

FAQs
-
This depends partly on why you are coming to the Ranch. This is a mostly outdoor space in the WNC mountains, which means the weather can change quickly. Be prepared with layers, a water bottle, snacks and/or sunscreen. Each specific event will let you know if you need to bring anything else. It is a working farm. Farm appropriate footwear encouraged.
-
We have a heated indoor bathroom available to the public.
-
We accept venmo, check, and cash. Most events will also accept credit card payments.
-
There is ample parking on sight. Four wheel drive is not required.
-
Horses are big, powerful animals that form relationships just like people. When meeting them for the first time, you may do so with the guidance of Ruby Ranch support staff. Of course you may quietly engage with them from a distance over the fence.
-
The Ranch is a kid-friendly space. Unless an event indicates otherwise, all events are family-friendly.
-
At this time, we ask that you leave your beloved furry canines at home. This is to keep the peace and security of the animals already living on site.
